Amie completed her physiotherapy degree in the UK and began her career working in a busy trauma and orthopaedics department at an acute care hospital. After gaining valuable experience supporting patients through post-operative care and rehabilitation, she moved to Squamish, where she quickly fell in love with the Canadian lifestyle and mountain community.
Amie has always lived an active life - playing field hockey, running, hiking, and skiing. Since moving to Canada, she has taken up biking and climbing and spent her first winter here as an adaptive ski instructor with the Whistler Adaptive Program. There, she worked closely with children of all abilities, including those on the autism spectrum, gaining insight into how movement, fun, and connection can come together to support development.
While studying for her Canadian physiotherapy licensing exams, Amie also worked as a nanny, where she found herself drawn to supporting the children she cared for in reaching their developmental milestones. These experiences helped her discover a passion for pediatric physiotherapy.
