Associate Counsellor Amina Khudsya is a welcoming and trauma-informed counsellor who brings compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine belief in each person’s capacity for growth and healing. She strives to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel understood, valued, and empowered to explore their experiences at a pace that feels right for them. With over five years of experience in community and health-authority settings, Amina has supported adults, parents, and families facing a wide range of life challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, parenting stress, and major transitions. Her work within complex mental health systems has strengthened her ability to support clients both therapeutically and practically, helping them navigate care systems and access appropriate community resources. Amina’s integrative approach draws on evidence-informed modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)–informed strategies, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Gottman Method–informed interventions. Influenced by trauma-integrative frameworks, she works collaboratively with clients to gently identify and shift unhelpful patterns shaped by past experiences. Amina’s practice is grounded in safety, cultural humility, and respect for each individual’s lived experience.
