Amy Corkett
AjouterAmy is a Registered Psychologist who strives to bring empathy and authenticity to every counselling relationship. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Mount Royal University in Calgary, and went on to obtain her Master of Counselling in Counselling Psychology. Amy completed her counselling internship at Third Academy in Calgary, providing therapy services to youth and families.
Amy is privileged to be able to help clients on their therapeutic journey towards change. She is passionate about helping clients to realize their goals, and live out their values fully through a strengths-based approach to counselling. Amy has expertise working with Anxiety disorders and has completed training in treating Body-focused Repetitive Behaviours (BFRBs) such as Trichotillomania (hair pulling) and Skin Picking Disorder and is passionate about supporting the BFRB community. She practices from a Person-centered approach, has training and experience in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and draws from Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioural approaches in her therapeutic work. Amy has co-authored publications in the area of maternal mental health, and has worked as an Instructional Support Facilitator with Athabasca University in the Master of Counselling program.

Amy loves hiking in the mountains with her family, learning ballet, and listening to and playing music. Her great passion is reading, though she has been known to binge a show (or 5) on streaming services in her down time.
