About Andra

Their own words
#**ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS | Bilingual Services (English & Romanian) Andra believes that healing happens most gently when people feel met with empathy, patience, and genuine care. In her work, she offers a supportive space where clients can slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what they have been carrying. Through compassionate exploration, clients can develop deeper self-awareness, learn to relate to their emotions with more kindness, and strengthen their capacity for connection with themselves and others. Andra works collaboratively with clients to help them feel less alone in their struggles and more grounded, empowered, and supported as they move toward meaningful change, honouring each person’s unique pace and lived experience along the way. Andra’s areas of focus include anxiety and depression, trauma-related concerns, including complex and developmental trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, stress and burnout, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and cultural and intergenerational challenges. She is deeply committed to supporting adults and couples from diverse backgrounds and strives to offer an inclusive, culturally responsive therapeutic space. Andra also has experience supporting perinatal and postpartum mental health, including developing and facilitating postpartum depression (PPD) support groups. She takes a client-centred, integrative, and holistic approach to therapy, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS-informed), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT-informed), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, attachment-based, strength-based, and somatic approaches. Through this individualized and collaborative work, she supports clients in developing deeper self-understanding, emotional regulation, and meaningful strategies for healing, growth, and lasting change. As a Registered Provisional Psychologist, Andra is in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists and practices under clinical supervision. She is also a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Andra holds a Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Alberta and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University. She is committed to ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and reflective learning to ensure thoughtful, high-quality care for the individuals and couples she supports.
