Angelica (Client Care Specialist)
About Angelica
Their own wordsStarting therapy is not just a decision; it is a turning point. It often begins with a whisper: Something needs to change. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, uncertain about where to begin, or simply longing for support that truly understands you, Angelica is here to guide you with expertise, care, and compassion.
Angelica holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University and currently works as a Research Coordinator at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre under Dr. Neil Rector. Her work focuses on clinical research in obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, social anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. She has hands-on experience conducting clinical interviews, administering standardized assessments, and collaborating on studies that translate the latest research into evidence-based treatments. This experience has given her a deep understanding of how mental health conditions develop, how they impact daily life, and how therapy can be tailored to support meaningful change.
In her role, Angelica bridges the gap between research and real-world practice, helping clients feel supported from their very first contact. She is committed to connecting individuals with the right therapist, answering questions, and ensuring that the process of starting therapy feels informed, compassionate, and empowering.
With plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology to become a Registered Psychotherapist, Angelica’s dedication to mental health care goes beyond her current role. She is passionate about helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges with evidence-based strategies, empathy, and personalized support. Her goal is to make therapy approachable, safe, and transformative for everyone who seeks it.
