About Anna
Their own words#ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
Anna stands firmly in the belief that every individual possesses the inherent ability to achieve their highest potential. This conviction is the cornerstone upon which the transformative powers of vulnerability and healing are harnessed.
Central to Anna's therapeutic philosophy is the art of rapport building, a pivotal element in forging a robust therapeutic alliance. This intricate process involves immersing oneself in the client's perspective, deciphering their perception of the world, and understanding how they believe others perceive them. This holistic vantage point forms the basis for comprehending their psychological well-being. Recognizing the significance of biopsychosocial functioning, Anna delves beyond mental health, unearthing the essence of each client's aspirations and counseling necessities. This comprehensive approach extends to encompass elements ranging from sleep patterns and nutritional habits to everyday wellness and social supports, creating a secure haven where clients can embark on their journey towards mental well-being.
Drawing from a solid foundation in psychodynamics, Anna weaves interventions from diverse therapeutic modalities. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema-Focused Therapy (SFT), and mindfulness techniques, all strategically employed to effectively navigate the complexities of the issues presented. In select cases, Anna deftly integrates an integrative approach, catering to individuals who may not be ready to confront challenges rooted in their past. A varied spectrum of areas, encompassing general anxiety, social anxiety, low self-esteem, agoraphobia, depression, ADHD, high-functioning autism, and an array of neurodivergent complexities, is within Anna's sphere of expertise.
Anna’s academic journey has amplified their passion and understanding of psychology. A Bachelor of Science degree focused on the intricate workings of the mind, with a special emphasis on the neurological dimensions of behavioral change. Progressing to a master's program, the psychodynamic approach resonated deeply, providing insights into the origins of present-day behaviors. Anna's adeptness in utilizing inner child healing, CBT, and ACT interventions has yielded transformative outcomes.
Committed to professional excellence, Anna maintains good standing with prestigious organizations including the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), the Canadian Counselling Corporation (CCC), and the Psychologists' Association of Alberta (PAA). These affiliations mirror a dedication to upholding the highest standards and ensuring that clients receive the finest care.

2 optionsParent SessionFollow-up
“This session is designed for parents to meet independently with the therapist (without the child present) to discuss the child’s ongoing progress in therapy, any new concerns, and strategies to support their well-being at home or school.
Parent follow-up sessions provide a collaborative space to review treatment goals, share updates, and strengthen the connection between therapy and daily life. These meetings help ensure that parents feel informed, supported, and aligned with the therapeutic process.
Please let us know in advance if there are any changes to custody or decision-making arrangements, so we can ensure all legal and ethical considerations are met.
If you have any questions or would like guidance on booking a parent follow-up session, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re here to help.”2 optionsParent Intake SessionNew patient
“Thank you for considering therapy for your child.
As part of our intake process, therapists often begin with a parent-only session. This initial appointment is for parents to meet with the therapist without the child present to discuss the child’s needs, history, and goals for therapy. It provides an important opportunity to share background information, gain insight into your child’s emotional and psychological well-being, and collaborate on how best to support them both in and outside of sessions.
Please let us know about any parental custody or decision-making arrangements prior to booking, so we can ensure all legal and ethical considerations are met.
If you have any questions or would like more information before scheduling, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re here to help.”2 optionsYouth Intake SessionNew patient
“Thank you for considering therapy for your child. As part of our intake process, the initial session is primarily for the youth. Parents or caregivers attend a portion of this first appointment to share relevant background information, discuss concerns, and help establish goals for therapy, after which the therapist will meet individually with the child. This approach allows the therapist to better understand the child’s needs while also creating a space where the youth can begin building rapport and expressing themselves independently. Please inform us of any custody or decision-making arrangements prior to scheduling so that all legal and ethical requirements are met. If you have any questions or would like additional information before booking, please feel free to reach out — we’re happy to assist.”2 optionsOpenings checked 45 min ago
