I believe therapy is built on trust, safety, and mutual respect, and so I bring my real self to my relationship with clients in order to meet and discover the ‘self’ you want to become. Together, we will explore the physical, emotional, and environmental factors creating friction in your life, and work towards sustainable and meaningful change. This may include learning new skills, processing emotions, and finding meaning in your past and present experiences. Life is full of challenges, and I will accompany you in learning to build resilience in the face of those challenges, without becoming overwhelmed. My clients share that I bring warmth, authenticity, and a calm presence to our sessions, acknowledging individual strengths and the uniqueness of your life experiences.
My background in community mental health has shaped a flexible and inclusive approach to therapy. I support individuals navigating anxiety, low mood, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship struggles, parenting stress, self-esteem challenges, and trouble sleeping. I draw from a range of approaches—including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused work, Narrative Therapy, and Emotion-focused techniques—while keeping your goals and experiences at the center of our work. I’m also certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), two powerful, research-supported methods for helping the brain and body process distressing or traumatic experiences in a safe and manageable way.
At MP, we love Anna for her warm, down-to-earth presence and her great sense of humour!
