Areej is a skilled and compassionate physiotherapist with experience since 2018. She brings a comprehensive and evidence-based approach to patient care. Having worked as a trainer with amateur athletes, she possesses a strong understanding of sports-related injuries and rehabilitation. Areej's treatment philosophy is goal-oriented, focusing on achieving tangible results for her patients.
Originally from St. Albert, Alberta, Areej holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta (2014) and a Doctorate of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne (2017). While living in Australia, she gained hands-on experience as a Sports Trainer for amateur AFL Football teams and obtained her Level 1 Pilates certification from the Australian Pilates and Physiotherapy Institute. Areej is also certified in Functional Dry Needling and has completed her Orthopedic Division AIM program up to Level 5. She will take her final exam to complete her diploma of advanced manual and manipulative physiotherapy this fall.
Believing strongly in preventative care and the power of education, Areej provides her patients with the knowledge they need to actively participate in their recovery. Outside of her clinical work, Areej enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
Areej is proficient in both English and Arabic and is excited to give back to the St. Albert community.
