About Arlo
“Hi, I’m Arlo, and I work best with people navigating change, the in-between "stage A to stage B" moments of life. I especially love working with clients moving to a new city, shifting careers, or stepping into a new chapter, because I get to watch the kind of growth that happens when someone finally gives themselves permission to become who they're meant to be. My interest and my passion is supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, with a particular focus on trans experiences. I'm non-binary myself, and that shapes how I show up in the room. I'll always see you, not your labels. At the same time, I know the weight those labels can carry, and I hold space for that too.
I believe you don't need a diagnosis to deserve therapy, and if you do have one, it doesn't limit the full, happy life you get to build. My style is gentle guidance, not tough love. I tend to be intuitive, with a touch of analytical thinking woven in. My own therapy experiences impact how I show up for my clients as well. I'll challenge you when you need it, but I'll never hand you a diagnosed-shaped box and call it a day.
This work isn't a magic fix, and it helps to know that going in. The clients I connect with best are ready to put in some real effort alongside me, even when it's uncomfortable. My goal is to help you become more fully you, not a version of "better" borrowed from someone else.

If reading this felt like a small exhale, like "oh, they get it," that's worth trusting. Reach out, and let's start a conversation.
Outside of therapy, you'll usually find me with a knitting project, a cross stitch hoop, or a notebook of half-finished poems close by. I believe in a full life outside these walls too, and I try to practice what I encourage in you.”
