I believe that every person holds inner strength and wisdom, even during times when life feels overwhelming or uncertain. Healing is not a straight path; it unfolds through small, meaningful steps, and my role is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and respect as you move through that process.

My path into counselling has been shaped by both professional training and lived experience. As a parent and someone who has navigated complex life challenges, I understand how deeply personal experiences can shape our emotional worlds. I have a particular awareness of neurodiversity and family dynamics, including the realities faced by individuals and families supporting children with autism. These experiences have strengthened my belief in the importance of empathy, patience, and meeting people exactly where they are.
In my counselling work, I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who are navigating trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. I am also drawn to working with women’s mental health, caregiving stress, and individuals seeking greater balance, self-understanding, and emotional resilience. I strive to create a calm, supportive environment where difficult emotions can be explored safely.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centred therapy, with an emphasis on collaboration, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I believe healing is not about “fixing” oneself, but about developing self-compassion, understanding patterns, and creating space for growth and possibility.
Outside of my counselling work, I value time with my family, spending time with my dogs, continued learning, and moments of reflection that support balance and well-being. I believe growth is lifelong, and that everyone deserves support during times when life feels heavy or unclear. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, I would be honoured to support you on your healing journey.

I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and am working as a clinical counselling intern under supervision. Following graduation, I plan to register as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).

Whether you are re-taking control of your life and starting over or you are looking to set time aside for your mental wellbeing, Art Therapy can help. Art Therapy is widely used as an auxiliary treatment for depression, illness and chronic pain, addiction and trauma. Children and Youth particularly respond well to Art Therapy as it offers a less confrontational approach to counseling.
