Hi, my name is Behni. I’m a Registered Social Worker currently completing my Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I believe there is something deeply healing about feeling truly seen and heard. When we have a space where we don’t need to pretend, fix everything, or have all the answers, we begin to understand ourselves with greater clarity, self-compassion, and kindness. I’ve always been drawn to the stories we carry and the many ways our experiences, relationships, and cultures shape who we become. My goal is to offer you a space where you can slow down, make sense of your experiences, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have become quiet along the way. Whether I’m sharing a playroom with a young child, sitting with a teenager through life’s uncertainties, or walking alongside an adult during a difficult season, I believe healing begins with feeling safe enough to be our authentic selves. Creativity has always been an important part of my life. Before becoming a social worker, I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, and I think that creative way of seeing the world has stayed with me. I love painting, spending time in nature, exploring different cultures and languages, and noticing the beauty in everyday moments. These experiences continue to shape the way I practice—with curiosity, warmth, and deep respect for each person’s unique journey. Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to arrive with the right words or all the answers. We can simply begin where you are at. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you. I offer equine-assisted therapy as a gentle, meaningful way to support healing, growth, and connection. Working alongside horses can create space for reflection, self-awareness, and emotional regulation in a way that feels grounding and natural. Horses have a unique way of meeting us exactly where we are, often helping us notice what is happening beneath the surface without pressure or judgment. This is non mounted and you do not need to have horse experience to engage.
