About Cami
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) based in Vancouver, providing trauma-informed, attachment-focused therapy to individuals, couples, and partners navigating life’s challenges and transitions. My approach is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) while integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed approaches, and person-centred therapy to support each client’s unique needs and goals.
I believe therapy should be a space where clients feel safe, understood, and supported as they explore their experiences with curiosity and compassion. Together, we work toward building greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, self-compassion, and confidence, while helping clients feel more connected to themselves and the people around them.
As someone born and raised in Vancouver within an immigrant family, I understand the complexities of navigating multiple cultural identities, intergenerational expectations, belonging, and the pressures that can exist within family and community systems. My work is grounded in a culturally sensitive, BIPOC-affirming approach, and I strive to create an inclusive space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. I offer counselling in both English and Cantonese.
I support clients experiencing workplace stress and burnout, relationship challenges, family conflict, anxiety, life transitions, postpartum mental health concerns, men’s mental health, ADHD, and emotional overwhelm. I also work with individuals seeking support in developing healthier relationships, navigating identity and self-worth, and processing difficult life experiences.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over a decade working in corporate retail leadership, managing large teams and working closely with executives and Boards of Directors. Throughout those years, I became deeply passionate about supporting the growth and well-being of the people around me, which ultimately led me toward counselling and mental health work.
While working full-time, I completed my Master’s in Counselling through City University of Seattle. Because of this journey, I understand the realities of balancing demanding careers, relationships, family responsibilities, and personal well-being. I know how easy it can be to feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck while trying to hold everything together.
Clients often share that they feel comfortable opening up in sessions and appreciate the calm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space I provide. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and taking a thoughtful, long-term approach to healing and growth that supports meaningful and lasting change.
