Candace Sayles
About Candace
Their own wordsHi there, my name is Candace. I support individuals, couples, and families navigating emotional pain, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, addiction, and identity shifts. I especially enjoy working with clients who are motivated to better understand themselves, build healthier patterns, and take meaningful steps toward healing.
My experience includes addiction treatment, sexual and domestic violence support, veteran care, and working with new parents and mothers adjusting to the emotional, relational, and identity changes that can come with parenthood. I bring a trauma-informed, compassionate, and collaborative approach to counselling, and I aim to help clients feel supported, validated, and respected throughout the process.
I also provide marriage and couples counselling, supporting partners as they work to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, understand recurring conflict patterns, and navigate challenges together.
My approach is grounded in strengths-based counselling, positive psychology, and cognitive behavioural therapy. I tailor sessions to each client’s needs because every person brings their own story, strengths, and lived experiences into therapy. My goal is to meet clients where they are while helping them move toward greater self-understanding, emotional growth, and meaningful change.
