Common conditions supported include: general stress, anxiety, depression, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Generalized Pain Disorder, sleep disturbances and PTSD. I-CSMT may also be of benefit as a supportive therapy (physical) for those under the care of mental health specialists. (Please consult with your care provider). What to expect: Sessions can vary in length from 30-45 minutes. Pressures vary from subtle to firm without going over the pain threshold. Massage Therapy techniques may include general Swedish Massage techniques, CST/SER, Neural Manipulation, Fascial Unwinding, Trigger Point Therapy, Positional Therapies (Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), positional ischemic compressions), Biomechanical Taping/Cross Taping, and varied breathing techniques. This treatment is intended for competitive athletes as part of their sport or event specific training and competing cycles. As part of multiple Integrated Sports Teams (IST) at the international and Major Games level, Andrea understands the need for an individualized approach that includes assessments of current mobility, strength, imbalances and soft tissue restrictions, goals, timing and sports needs and response to treatments.
