About Carolyn
Their own wordsHi! I’m Carolyn, a psychotherapist with a deep commitment to helping people navigate life turning points. Working as a high school teacher for over a decade, I have been lucky enough to work closely in supporting newcomers to Canada, many who were forced to leave their homes in search of a better life. These experiences taught me the importance of building genuine connections, to support difficult, life transitions. I now want to take this passion for helping others to the forefront of my practice.
I have seen through my own experience, and the experience of those close to me, the power that purposeful therapy can have on a person’s wellbeing. Whether you're ready to begin therapy or wanting to book a discovery call, feel free to reach out, you don't have to do this alone.

Extended sessionFollow-up
“Extended sessions can be beneficial in many ways. Having more time, can help to build the therapeutic relationship, it can allow for more time for processing, it can allow more flexibility for those who cannot attend weekly sessions, or for situations where time is limited.”Individual Therapy
2 optionsParent/Guardian InterviewNew patient
“The journey begins with the guardian attending the initial session. This allows the therapist to establish a connection with the family and understand their perspective.
During this session, the guardian shares insights into the child's daily routine. This helps the therapist understand the child's environment and the context within which they are experiencing challenges.
Guardians also use this time to express their expectations for therapy and describe the specific challenges the child has been facing. This information lays the foundation for the therapist's approach.”Parent/Guardian Interview (Appointment)New patient

“This is a video call. You will receive a link via email prior to your appointment time. Calls usually last 15-20 minutes.”2 optionsPreTeen Session 11-12
“The therapist conducts a session with the child, aiming to establish a trusting and supportive relationship. This session is essential in creating a safe space for the child to open up and feel comfortable with the therapist.
During this session, the therapist also begins assessing some of the concerns the guardian referred too. This may involve observing the child's behaviour, emotions, and responses in a controlled environment.”Openings checked 1 hr ago · prices come straight from the clinic — never marked up
