The first session includes time with both parents/caregivers and your child to understand what brings you to counselling and what support would be most helpful. Please bring an additional adult who can supervise your child for any part of the session where the counsellor is speaking privately with parents/caregivers.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other, explore what has brought you to counselling, and talk about what you're hoping to get from therapy. If appropriate, we may also spend a little time with your parent or caregiver to gather relevant background information and answer any questions.
