About Chad
Credentials: Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies; Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (September 2026); student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
Bio: My path into this work was shaped by my identity reclamation following competitive hockey, and the subsequent fifteen years of self-inquiry, studying and teaching yoga, and a deep investigation into religion, philosophy, and the human experience. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a research assistant exploring questions of spirituality, secularization, and the need for meaning-making systems in our contemporary Western life. This continues to inform how I understand human suffering and the search for purpose. I have had the privilege of serving as an oskapêwis (ceremonial helper) within Cree, Lakota, Ojibway, and Quechua traditions. These experiences inform my spiritually integrated approach to counselling and shape how I understand healing as relational and embodied. My theoretical orientation is influenced by humanistic-existential and analytic psychology.
I view each person’s lived experience as a dynamic, unfolding story shaped by values, identity, struggle, and the desire for growth. This helps me support clients in exploring not just what hurts, but what matters in the context of their potential. In my therapeutic work, I offer a warm, grounded, and relational presence. I draw on mindfulness-based strategies, somatic awareness, and cognitive tools, and I’m especially interested in working with men, youth, athletes, and all people navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, stress, and life transitions. I work collaboratively and tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs, values, and cultural context. I approach therapy with courage, sincerity, and a commitment to genuine connection. Above all, I strive to create a space where clients feel safe and supported in their journey of personal discovery. My hope is to walk alongside clients as they reconnect with inner steadiness, clarity, and the deeper commitments that give their life meaning.
Outside the therapy room, I’m often found reading, writing, practicing yoga, or spending time with my wife and son — the practices that keep me grounded, sincere, and connected.
Favorite Song: According to Spotify Wrapped, my top song this year was I Remember Everything by Zach Bryan, and my favorite genre was Freak Folk, but typically, you can find me vibing to lo-fi beats.
