About Cherry
Their own wordsI am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist providing evidence-based therapy for university students, early career professionals, and adults navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, low mood, and life transitions.
Many of the people I work with appear high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally by overthinking, persistent self-doubt, and the pressures of academic, career, or family expectations.
My work draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These evidence-based approaches help you understand patterns that keep you stuck and develop practical strategies to manage anxiety, stress, low mood, and difficult life experiences.
I aim to create a warm, collaborative space where you feel supported while also gaining practical tools you can use in everyday life.
I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Over the past several years, I have supported students and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship challenges, and academic stress.
I offer therapy in English and Mandarin, with both in-person and virtual sessions available at our Yorkville, Toronto location (at Bay subway).
For clients from immigrant or multicultural backgrounds, therapy can also be a place to explore cultural expectations, family dynamics, identity, and the experience of balancing multiple worlds.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you as you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
