About Chidi
Chidi is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Philosophy from Mount Allison University.
Chidi provides trauma-informed therapy to adults navigating anxiety, panic, grief, relational difficulties, and the lasting impact of overwhelming or painful life experiences. Her work is grounded in an understanding of how the nervous system, attachment patterns, and early relational experiences shape emotional wellbeing, coping, and self-perception. She approaches symptoms not as weaknesses, but as meaningful and adaptive responses to lived experiences.
Her clinical approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. She incorporates evidence-based modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and somatic, nervous-system–based practices. Chidi has also completed Indigenous cultural training, which informs her commitment to cultural humility, relational awareness, and honouring the broader social and cultural contexts that influence healing.
Chidi works with adults from diverse backgrounds, including individuals from BIPOC communities who have experienced trauma, chronic stress, or systemic and relational harm. Her areas of focus include trauma and PTSD, attachment wounds, addictions, emotional regulation, dissociation, chronic stress, self-esteem challenges, and patterns such as people-pleasing or self-silencing that often develop in response to unsafe or unpredictable environments.
She is particularly drawn to working with individuals who have spent much of their lives being strong for others and are now seeking a space where they, too, can feel supported, understood, and cared for.
Chidi has availability on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
