About Christel

Their own words
At the heart of my practice is the belief that strong, supportive relationships are essential for healing. I prioritise creating an environment where trust, empathy, and unconditional positive regard thrive—these are vital elements in building a meaningful therapeutic relationship. My aim is to provide a safe and nurturing space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. I strive to empower you to recognise and discover your personal strengths and capabilities. Throughout our time together, I will support you in enhancing your overall well-being, building resilience, and developing effective problem-solving skills. By fostering self-awareness and insight, we will collaborate to navigate your unique challenges. To ensure you receive the best support possible, I draw from a variety of proven therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. My approach is strength-based and trauma-informed, integrating positive psychology and mindfulness strategies into our sessions. Additionally, I utilise Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) techniques. I am also eager to further expand my practice by learning about and implementing somatic therapy techniques that focus on the connection between the body and mind. Recognising that every client is unique, I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs as we work toward meaningful change. I am deeply committed to promoting mental health awareness and advocating for your needs throughout our journey together. Lifelong learning is important to me; I continuously strive to stay updated on the latest psychological theories and practices to provide you with the highest quality of care. My passion for helping others is the driving force behind my work, and I am honoured to accompany you on your path to wellness. Let’s embark on this transformative journey together!
