Hello, I'm Christine. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) offering a compassionate, client-centred approach to therapy. My goal is to meet you where you are and provide a supportive, collaborative space where you can explore challenges, deepen your self-understanding, and move toward meaningful change at your own pace. I work from a person-centred foundation, creating a non-judgmental environment where you can safely and authentically explore your experiences. I believe each person has the capacity for growth and healing, and I tailor therapy to support the goals that matter most to you. While my approach is warm and supportive, I also gently challenge unhelpful patterns, perspectives, and beliefs when appropriate, helping foster insight and lasting change. My path to counselling was shaped by my own experience with grief and loss. Having experienced the value of counselling during a difficult time, I understand the importance of having a space to process, reflect, and gain clarity. I often draw from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-informed skills and strengths-based approaches to support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, parenthood, relationship concerns, and grief. I place strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and strive to provide practical tools that can help you navigate everyday life with greater confidence and resilience. I also have a particular interest in supporting women navigating midlife transitions, including perimenopause and menopause. Through additional training in this area, I aim to provide informed support for the emotional, relational, and psychological changes that can accompany this stage of life. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over ten years as an elementary school teacher and also built and operated a small business. I am also a mother of two teenagers, experiences that continue to deepen my understanding of family life, relationships, and the many roles we balance throughout our lives. You may be a good fit for counselling with me if you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about your next steps. Perhaps you find yourself prioritizing others' needs at the expense of your own, struggling with boundaries, navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, or significant life transitions. Together, we can work toward greater self-awareness, healthier coping strategies, and meaningful change. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #25204) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, a Bachelor of Education, and a Bachelor of Arts.
