Corey completed his undergrad at the University of Manitoba, graduating with a B.A. Honours in criminology. He completed all his pre-req’s for physiotherapy but in the end, decided to pursue firefighting. After completing his training, he suffered several setbacks through injuries. Corey always had a passion in sports, the human body, and fitness and realized that his end goal was to affect positive change in his community. Realizing he did not have to be a firefighter to affect positive change, he ultimately decided to pursue massage therapy. Inspired by the practitioners that helped him get back into sports and physical fitness, he returned back to school and graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy with Honours. Corey hopes to help people live a pain free lifestyle without the fear of getting injured. He hopes he can spread positivity and awareness to each person’s own body and health. He understands that everyone is different and will work with you to develop a specific treatment plan to help achieve your goals. Corey enjoys approaching issues with movement based therapy. Some of the techniques he likes to apply, but are not limited to, include PNF stretching, trigger point release, neuromuscular, and Swedish techniques. In his free time you’ll find Corey playing basketball, climbing, training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, or any kind of outdoor activity!
