Cynthia is a Registered Psychologist with a master’s degree in counselling psychology from Yorkville University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Calgary. She brings extensive experience in providing counselling to individuals across diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds and a wide range of age groups.
Her areas of specialization include depression and anxiety, anger management, chronic illness, neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD, ADHD), and couples and relationship therapy. She is deeply committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, culturally responsive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. She believes a strong therapeutic alliance is fundamental to meaningful and lasting change.
Cynthia has experience working with children and adults. She uses an integrative therapeutic approach to support resilience, self-growth, and overall well-being drawing primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). Her practice is grounded in strength-based, trauma-informed, and attachment-based principles, tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.
