elysse aka: "ellis" **Please note: I will be working reduced hours over Summer 2026** My approach to massage therapy is holistic: my treatment plans are grounded in orthopedics, anatomy, and current research, while simultaneously deeply valuing the power of attentive and present touch. In addition to my work as a Massage Therapist, I work in the arts. In both careers, I value and practice collaboration, communication, and curiosity, and feel enriched by working with folks from a wide variety of backgrounds, experiences, genders, and neurotypes. I welcome all body types on my massage table. Our appointments will always begin with a conversation about what you are hoping to address with your massage treatment, and about your massage preferences and boundaries. You will have time to ask questions or voice any concerns. It is important to me that you feel safe, comfortable, and empowered during your massage. I am happy to offer 75, and 90 minute appointments. Please email or call the clinic to book these longer sessions. **My areas of interest include** - pathologies of the hands or feet - tendinopathies, strains, and sprains - depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders - fibromyalgia and chronic pain - stress and headaches **Massage style** While I am happy to provide lighter pressure treatments if desired, the pressure I generally use ranges from medium to deep. You can expect slow broad contact, sustained sinking pressure, prolonged passive stretches, and limb traction. I like to pick up, squeeze, knead and bow large muscle groups. My style has been described as “slow and melty.” I often blend deep Swedish Massage with myo-fascial techniques. I aim to facilitate a quiet, comfortable space during the massage so that you can be present with your thoughts and sensations.
