Dan graduated from UBC in 2003 with joint degrees in Physiotherapy and Human Kinetics. His primary areas of practice are manual therapy, sports injuries and chronic, long standing injuries. He enjoys helping patients develop sport and activity specific exercise and training routines to help them heal, prevent re-injury, improve life and performance. He enjoys the challenge of working with people who need support through chronic, long standing and complicated injuries. Dan is an Intermediate Level Manipulative Therapist with the Canadian Orthopaedic Division having completed his Part A certificate in Manual Therapy in 2008. Certified to practice IMS (intramuscular stimulation) through Gunn IMS training, Dan regularly uses needling as an adjunct to his treatment sessions. He has completed Level 4 “ConnectTherapy Series” with LJ Lee. Other courses include Mulligan’s mobilization with movement, Shirley Sarhmann’s lower back and hip retraining and both LJ Lee’s “Sports Thorax” and “Sports Pelvis”. Passionate about soccer and running, over the years Dan has worked with the BC Soccer Association, UBC Soccer program and with Capilano College/University Athletics. For 10 years, Dan was a team physiotherapist for the Canadian Soccer Association and travelled to the Bahamas with the Men’s National Beach soccer team for the World Cup Qualifier in 2017. During the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics he was a member of the Host Medical Team for the Opening & Closing Ceremony performers. While at UBC, Dan captained the varsity soccer team and has since competed at various levels of Men’s soccer. Since retiring from playing he continues to be involved by coaching his son’s select soccer team. Dan stays fit by running both on road and the trails of North Vancouver, doing home based strength training, hiking, skiing, tennis, basketball, as well as outdoor adventures with his wife and two children. Dan became a partner at CSPC in 2013.

Delivered only by Physiotherapists trained in Pilates. You must have had a physiotherapy assessment done prior to starting Clinical Pilates. If you have not yet been assessed, your first appointment will be a physiotherapy assessment, not a pilates session. Physio+ Pilates is done in conjunction with your physiotherapy appointment throughout the healing stages of your injury and working on a specific issue.

Enhance your running performance with a detailed 75-minute assessment by Shirin. This session includes a thorough evaluation of your running-specific strength, mobility, and movement patterns. Your running technique will be recorded and analyzed on a treadmill to assess your gait mechanics. Based on the findings, you’ll receive a personalized intervention plan, including a structured running program and targeted exercises tailored to your needs. Follow-up physiotherapy sessions are available to refine your technique, adjust your program, and incorporate hands-on treatment to manage any symptoms as you progress toward your running goals.
