Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Victoria (2016) and earned his Diploma in Massage Therapy from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2018. He has since maintained an active clinical practice at Saanich Massage Therapy & Wellness as a Massage Therapist, registered through CMTBC. Derek enjoys working with people from all walks of life and helping them feel and move better. His treatment approach combines techniques such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, active and passive stretching, trigger point therapy, joint traction, and Swedish massage. When away from the clinic, you might find him staying active through racquet sports and resistance training, or enjoying some downtime by practicing classical guitar and spending time outdoors with his dog, Moka.
