About Dimple
Their own wordsSeeking therapy can be a difficult and overwhelming choice to make. My goal is to provide a safe, open, and non-judgemental space while supporting you through your therapeutic journey.
No matter how big or small your struggles may feel, therapy can be an effective tool to help reduce stress and resolve life’s challenges. If you are interested in exploring therapy, I am ready to help guide you through this process.
I practice within a collaborative framework focused on developing our therapeutic relationship based on trust, mutual respect and understanding. I am committed to your mental well-being while working on your goals and personal growth in the areas you wish to transform. As someone with an ethnic background, I also have an awareness of cultural sensitivities and how these associations can impact individual development, mental health and healing. I utilize different therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) all framed within a client-centred, strengths-based approach.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology from the University of Toronto, a Graduate Certificate in Addictions Treatment and Prevention from Georgian College, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I have been working in the field of counselling and social services for over 7 years and have had the opportunity to work with a diverse set of individuals addressing mental health, addictions and other issues with a trauma-informed approach.
I offer in person as well as Telehealth services (both telephone and secure video).
