Alexia grew up locally in Shawnigan Lake, spending much of her childhood hiking local trails and swimming in the lake. She completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Victoria with a combined major in Biology and Psychology, where she developed a deep passion for understanding the nervous system. With a background in personal training, Alexia values movement as one of the most powerful forms of medicine. She went on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida. Alexia has completed additional training in prenatal chiropractic care and cranial techniques, allowing her to support patients through all stages of life—from athletes and busy professionals to expecting mothers and individuals navigating chronic stress. Calm and connection are foundational to her work. Alexia is especially passionate about helping patients shift out of tension and into a state of ease, creating the conditions the body needs to heal. She believes the body is inherently intelligent and self-healing, and often simply needs gentle guidance to reset old patterns. Dr. Alexia has also gone on to do continued education in treating paediatric patients, and has a focus on supporting new little ones, as well as supporting mothers throughout pregnancy. Her adjusting approach includes a blend of manual chiropractic techniques, instrument-assisted methods, and drop-table work, always tailored to the comfort level and unique needs of each patient. Patients appreciate her thorough, compassionate approach and her ability to make them feel both supported and understood. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Alexia biking, hiking, or practicing yoga. She is excited to serve the Victoria community and welcomes new patients looking for a calm, supportive, and personalized chiropractic experience.
