Dr. Carmen Carpenter is a registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (DTCM) with a special interest in women's health, fertility, hormonal balance, pregnancy, facial acupuncture, and reproductive wellness. She is currently in her second year of the Midwifery Program at the University of British Columbia, further expanding her knowledge of pregnancy, birth, and comprehensive reproductive care. Carmen provides individualized treatments for fertility support, menstrual concerns, hormonal imbalances, pregnancy related discomforts, pain, stress, anxiety, digestive concerns, and overall health. She also offers facial acupuncture to support healthy skin and natural rejuvenation while addressing the body as a whole. Every treatment is tailored to your individual needs and may include acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, dietary guidance, and other Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques when appropriate. Carmen believes that effective care begins with listening and works collaboratively with each patient to create a treatment plan that supports both immediate concerns and long term health. Outside the clinic, Carmen enjoys exploring Vancouver Island and spending time at the beach with the many dogs in her life. **Direct billing is available to most major insurance providers, including ICBC, for eligible acupuncture treatments.**

During a session, fine needles are strategically placed to relax muscles, improve circulation, and stimulate collagen production. This results in smoother skin, diminished wrinkles, and improved skin tone and elasticity. This treatment also includes an assessment and health history intake to address any other facial related symptomology including lymphatic edema, scarring and acne to name a few. We do not do direct billing for this acupuncture treatment.
