Dr. Dr Michael Westaway, PT
Dr. Mike Westaway is a licensed Physiotherapist and a Certified Clinical Specialist in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy, with 38 years of clinical experience. He is not a medical doctor. He is one of only 26 Physical Therapists in Canada to attain the prestigious “Specialist” designation in this field.
Dr. Westaway also practices as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP)—a role similar to that of a Nurse Practitioner, though he is not a medical physician. In this advanced capacity, he is authorized to order diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and ultrasound imaging.

Michael first built a home in Canmore 25 years ago, later moved to Calgary, and has recently returned to the Canmore mountains.
