Dr. Elion Wong, a chiropractor raised in the city of Victoria, BC, developed an early passion for sports that naturally evolved into a profound interest in injury rehabilitation, and manual therapy. His journey into the world of rehabilitative medicine was deeply rooted in his upbringing and love for physical activity. His academic foundation includes a Bachelors of Sport and Fitness Leadership with a specialized focus on Exercise and Wellness from Camosun College. Driven by his commitment to advancing his expertise, he pursued higher education at the University of Western States, graduating with distinction—Magna Cum Laude—earning both a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and a Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine. Dr. Wong’s approach to treatment is grounded in functionality, employing a diverse range of methodologies. His practice integrates soft tissue techniques and several forms of manual therapy, functional assessments, joint mobilization, and corrective exercises to empower individuals in achieving their health and wellness objectives. Continuously expanding his knowledge, he has undertaken specialized courses including Active Release Technique, DNS exercise 1, and Functional Biomechanical Assessment among others. It is also important to know that Dr. Wong is fluent in both English and Cantonese, allowing patients the flexibility to engage in appointments conducted in either language according to their preference. Beyond his professional endeavours, Dr. Wong actively engages in various physical pursuits during his free time. An enthusiast of volleyball, basketball, and golf, he not only partakes in these activities but also contributes as a coach in local youth volleyball clubs. TPI golf initial assessment is designed to assess your body and how it moves as it relates to the golf swing. This golf-specific movement screen and in depth biomechanics assessment (SFMA) will point to the reason why you move the way you do. Then we assess your swing with slow motion video capture to determine why and how you’re moving. This is called the Body-Swing Connection. In this assessment, we’ll collect all the data, including swing, golf and body goals. Bring a 6 iron and driver, some comfortable clothes be ready to move and swing. Also, if possible, take video of your golf swing from front on, and down the line (behind) views and email to info@totalbodyvictoria.com prior to visit.

In this session, Dr. Cali has crunched the data, and put together a plan of action to move you forward in your golf game, whether it be swinging better, feeling better or scoring better. Hopefully all of the above. We will go through recommended exercises in this session, please wear comfortable clothes. *Please note you must do the initial TPI before booking this one*

Online appointments use telephone or video consultation(through your computer or phone), which allows us to perform a thorough history of your presenting complaint / injury, followed by an evaluation comprised of a series of movements and tests to best determine the nature and cause of your pain or injury. After we've completed our evaluation, we will walk through a series of steps, movements and/or exercises, to find effective ways to help you. At the conclusion of your session you will receive an email outlining our recommended self treatments and exercises.
