Dr. Thomson’s interest in sports, performance, and his personal resolution of chronic pain led him to pursue his chiropractic education at Palmer College of Chiropractic West. He graduated in 2005 which gives him 20 years of experience providing chiropractic treatment.
During his studies, he was an active participating member of the *Student American Association Sports Council* (SACA) and gained valuable experience providing care at various different sporting events.

In practice, Dr. Thomson uses a variety of different techniques to both recover from discomfort or prevent it. This often includes:
- manual chiropractic adjustments,
- Active Release Technique (ART),
- Graston soft tissue treatments,
- BioFlex laser treatments,
- Shockwave therapy,
- exercises, stretches and other modalities.

Dr. Thomson is a long-term martial artist, having earned a black belt in karate in 1998, and training in a variety of other disciplines since then. He is currently practicing Jiu Jitsu and has earned his blue belt.
Dr. Thomson spends much of his free time with his family. He is the father of two children ages 14 and 17, and husband to wife Cindy.
