Dr. Michael Bastien, ND
Dr. Michael Bastien received his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, specializing in rehabilitation and health, from Simon Fraser University. He then completed his Naturopathic medical training from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. From 2010 to 2019, he taught at Boucher as an instructor in the physical medicine department, spreading his passion for the profession.
As a child, Dr. Bastien was introduced to a variety of alternative medical practices including chiropractic care, massage therapy, botanical medicine, and homeopathy. This early introduction and desire to help people is what led him to choose naturopathic medicine as a career. His practice focuses on acute and chronic pain while staying grounded in the core principles of health including digestive support and hormone regulation.
As a father of two young children, Dr. Bastien spends his free time running around the North Shore with the family. When any free time arises you may find him with his camera or experimenting with recipes at home.
