Dr. Nykaila Wheeler completed her chiropractic education at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic, where she trained in a hands-on, neurologically focused program. Prior to that, she earned her degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary, building a strong foundation in human movement and biomechanics. She is trained in Diversified, Thompson Drop, Upper Cervical, Activator, and Gonstead techniques, allowing her to tailor care to each patient’s comfort level and individual needs. Dr. Nykaila is passionate about helping patients be a little “greedy” with their health — encouraging people to move better, feel stronger, and reach their personal best. She takes a holistic, family-centered approach that looks beyond symptom relief to support long-term wellness. Her care is practical, collaborative, and focused on helping patients build sustainable habits that support real life — whether that means keeping up with kids, performing well at work, or enjoying everything the Okanagan has to offer. Outside the clinic, you’ll often find her exploring town with her wife and their two dogs, Winky and Todd. In the summer she loves being near the water, and in the winter she’s usually convincing her Kiwi wife to brave the cold at the ski hill — ideally finishing the day with a great coffee and a good book.
