Prolotherapy, short for "proliferation therapy," is a type of regenerative injection treatment used to promote healing and alleviate pain in joints, ligaments, and tendons. It involves injecting a natural irritant, often a dextrose solution, into the affected area to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. How It Works: Injection of an Irritant: A solution, typically containing dextrose (sugar water), saline, or another irritant, is injected into the damaged area.
