About Shiva
I work with children, teens, adults, and parents seeking support, healing, and growth. For over 15 years, I have supported children, youth, and families through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, grief, behavioral concerns, life transitions, self-esteem struggles, immigration experiences, and family changes. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and accepted, and I tailor therapy to your unique needs using approaches such as Child-Centered Play Therapy, DBT, CBT, attachment- and trauma-informed therapy, mindfulness, emotion-focused therapy, narrative therapy, play and sand therapy, DIR/Floortime, and creative approaches such as art therapy (no artistic experience needed).
As an immigrant and a member of the queer community, I understand that our identities, cultures, and lived experiences can deeply influence how we move through the world. My work is grounded in a person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach that honors each person's unique story. I strongly believe that healing happens in connection with ourselves, with others, with nature, and through creativity. Art, community, and meaningful relationships have the power to help us reconnect with our strengths, find belonging, and create lives that feel more authentic and fulfilling.
I know that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable and sometimes overwhelming. Whether you're seeking help for yourself, your child, or your family, I strive to offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where we can work together toward the life you want to create.
I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey.
