Trevor graduated from the University of Western States with his Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Masters of Science in Sports Medicine. He grew up in Surrey, BC, but after completing his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology at UVIC he always knew he would settle on the island. Trevor grew up playing a number of sports and believes in the importance of overall athleticism as well as developing a positive experience with health and exercise. Throughout his years playing competitive rugby with the Bayside Sharks on the mainland, he had the help of many great health professionals to rehab his injuries but it was chiropractic that had the greatest pull. Not only does he specialize in treating musculoskeletal conditions of the spine, Trevor also has great interest and skill in treating injuries and conditions involving the shoulder, hip, knee, ankle and other extremities. Trevor has his DNS Strength Training 1 certification and is always pursuing continuing education to better help his patients. In practice, he utilizes a variety of treatments, including: • Adjustments and mobilizations • Soft tissue therapy • Instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM) • Cupping • Functional movement assessment and exercise correction • Shockwave therapy Trevor’s main goal with treatment is to work with his patients towards a common goal, whether that means returning to sport after an injury, treating those nagging aches and pains, being able to work more functionally and with less pain, or simply to learn how to move better and live a more active lifestyle. As a lifelong athlete with a history in strength and conditioning, he believes in the power of exercise as a rehab tool and that the ultimate goal of treatment is to give each patient the tools and knowledge they need to stay healthy.
