Whether you are recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, navigating changes in cognition, supporting your child’s development, or looking to participate more fully in the activities that matter most to you, Elizabeth is committed to helping you achieve your goals in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable. Occupational therapy focuses on helping you participate in the activities that are meaningful and important to your daily life. When an injury, illness, disability, or life transition affects the things you want to do, need to do, or are expected to do, Elizabeth works collaboratively with you to identify barriers, develop practical strategies, and create personalized solutions that support independence, confidence, and participation in everyday life. Elizabeth holds an Honours Bachelor of Public Health (Co-op) from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University. Elizabeth has further completed additional training in Motivational Interviewing, Traumatic Event Systems, as well as various mental health and wellness trainings. This allows her to provide informed, compassionate care for individuals navigating complex physical, cognitive, and mental health challenges. Her clinical experience spans community mental health, pediatric occupational therapy, school-based rehabilitation support, and professional development services. Through her work in community mental health, Elizabeth has supported individuals in rebuilding routines, increasing community participation, developing life skills, and overcoming barriers related to motivation, mental health, and daily functioning. In pediatric settings, she has helped children develop sensory processing, self-regulation, fine motor, and social participation skills that support success at home, school, and in the community. Elizabeth provides occupational therapy services for a wide range of concerns, including home safety assessments, aging in place, equipment recommendations, cognitive support for executive functioning challenges such as attention, memory, organization, and task initiation, pain management, energy management, behavioural activation, community access, leisure engagement, and pediatric development. Recognizing that health and wellness are influenced by many factors, Elizabeth works closely with other healthcare professionals when appropriate to ensure your care plan is coordinated, practical, and aligned with your goals. By integrating insights from multiple disciplines, she helps create comprehensive strategies that support meaningful and lasting outcomes. Clients appreciate Elizabeth’s ability to build genuine connections, meet people where they are, and translate complex challenges into practical, achievable steps. Her combination of mental health expertise, pediatric experience, and functional rehabilitation skills allows her to support individuals across the lifespan while maintaining a personalized approach that focuses on what matters most to them.
