About Elizabeth
Their own wordsWhat we want to do, need to do, or are expected to do each and every day can feel overwhelming, and some days, even impossible. If this is a familiar feeling, I am here to help! As a pediatric Occupational Therapist, I specialize in helping children, teens, and their families build the skills they need to thrive in their daily lives. This can be goals for home, school, or in the community. I can sometimes see adults on a case-by-case basis, depending on their goals and what they would like to work on.
My therapy approach focuses on helping clients discover practical and engaging ways to make everyday wants, needs, and expectations feel more manageable. I am passionate about creating experiences within therapy that are meaningful, playful, and empowering. I love identifying the unique strengths, interests, and ways of life that each child brings. Collaboration is at the heart of my approach, partnering with caregivers, educators, and other professionals to ensure each child or teen receives consistent, holistic support.
I currently work in the School Based Rehabilitation Program at KidsAbility, where I support children in the school setting in a variety of Occupational Therapy needs, including sensory seeking, fine motor development, emotional regulation, physical needs, and more. Along with my experience in the schools, I have also worked with adults with serious mental health challenges in the community with the Canadian Mental Health Association, as well as supporting students in co-op programs at the University of Waterloo.
My goal is to help children gain confidence, independence, and joy in the activities that matter most to them, whether that's handwriting, self-care routines, emotional regulation, social participation, or simply feeling comfortable in their own bodies. I believe deeply in meeting children where they are, creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive space, and celebrating every step forward.
