Liz had entered into massage therapy in 1996 after graduating from the WCCMT in Vancouver. The first years of practice started in Vancouver’s West End, but had led to other opportunities surfacing over the next two years. The most important one had come from meeting Dr. Brenda Mason at Yaletown Chiropractic. She had continued her massage therapy practice there within a fast, yet refreshingly challenging pace along side the chiropractors and RMTs. In 1999, Liz had realized her dream of opening her own clinic with the help of her husband. Yaletown Massage Therapy became one of the few massage therapy clinics in this vibrant neighborhood. Liz’s focus in treatment is myofascial release, trigger point release and the use of unwinding techniques in practice. This form of treatment she believes is very effective and long lasting for most body ailments. To aid in continued recovery or general wellness, Liz suggests yoga and Pilates as gentle movement exercises to strengthen our core. She has practiced both for several years and she can appreciate the positive outcome of strength and proper alignment in the body from training in those disciplines. She continues to enjoy working with patients of all ages, pre and post natal women, and recreational and competitive athletes. Liz loves spending her time with her family on her days away from the clinic. She is passionate about dance and movement, as well as being in nature and enjoying Vancouver’s beautiful outdoors. Liz is available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
