After Emilia graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelors in General Arts with courses focusing on Kinesiology she decided to pursue her passion of the care of the human body at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy to become a Registered Massage Therapist.
While at Sutherland-Chan she performed and studied scar tissue work, sports massage, manual lymph drainage, pre/post surgery treatment, and Swedish massage to help facilitate healing her patients. Emilia focuses her treatments on rehabilitating the body by manipulating it’s nervous system. She does so using techniques such as proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, therapeutic exercise, myofascial release, Swedish massage, and joint manipulation. She develops a specific treatment plan for each individual catered to their daily lives and personal goals!
Outside the clinic Emilia enjoys camping, playing multiple sports, rock climbing, and travelling. She improves her understanding of the human body through her own activity and is always open to trying new things!
