About Erica
Their own wordsErica provides a free 15 minute consultation to first time clients!
Erica began her career in Pastoral Care, where she worked for nearly two decades. Driven by a desire to enhance her skills and understanding in working with people, she pursued a Master’s in Counselling with City University of Seattle (Edmonton Campus) and became a Canadian Certified Counsellor.
Erica works with adults, seniors, and couples from diverse backgrounds. While she has the ability to integrate faith into the counselling process, she deeply values meeting each individual where they are and understanding the unique ways meaning is applied to their lives.
Inspirational Quote:
“The greatest gift you can give someone is your time, your attention and your presence.” – Unknown
“Life doesn’t make any sense without interdependence. We need each other, and the sooner we learn that the better for us all.” – Erik Erikson
How do you believe counselling can help?
I believe counselling provides a safe space where individuals and couples can be fully present, allowing them to connect, feel, think, process, and move toward hope in a supportive, and non-judgmental environment.
Your approach to counselling:
My approach to counselling is attachment-based and collaborative, where I support clients as they create meaningful change in their lives. By fostering a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust and mutual respect, we work together to explore challenges, identify strengths, and develop strategies for growth. I focus on creating authentic spaces where both healing and personal development can truly take place.
Erica’s interaction style is direct and gentle. When appropriate, she uses humour in sessions.
