Erin Alexander is registered with the CTCMA and ATCMA. She has studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and Pacific Rim College. She continues to further her knowledge and skills through various courses, seminars and conferences. Erin is passionate about healing and Chinese Medicine. She believes in the idea of treating the whole person and restoring balance to the body and mind, with a focus on prevention. Her experiences growing up surrounded by nature have given her a great respect and love for nature’s sophisticated workings and yet simplicity which Chinese medicine embodies. Erin practices traditional needling techniques, cupping therapy, tui na, gua sha, auriculotherapy and yang shen, and herbal medicine. She has helped patients seek relief from headaches, insomnia, chronic and acute pain, bi polar disorder, depression and digestive complaints. As well, Erin has a special interest in emotional/mental health, women’s health issues, pregnancy and pediatrics. Erin believes our bodies have an amazing capacity to heal themselves. She uses her knowledge of Chinese and Western medicine, mind, heart and intuition to discover what your body and spirit need. When not at the spa, Erin can be found braving the elements sailing or hiking, practicing the art of stillness through Tai Chi or racing after her fiery daughter

This booking is for individuals who would like to address their condition through herbal medicine(no acupuncture) and it is their first time visiting Spring Wellness. This session will include a thorough Chinese medicine intake and a recommendation for a herbal prescription. The cost of the herbal prescriptions is not included in the appointment fees and is approximately $20 per week. Some prescriptions are larger or contain more expensive herbs and the cost may be greater.
This treatment is for individuals seeking to manage their health concerns with herbal medicine(no acupuncture or between acupuncture sessions) and have already had an initial consultation and diagnosis with one of our practitioners. This session will include a check in on your signs and symptoms in order to evaluate how your prescription needs to be modified to reflect those changes. The cost of the herbal prescription is not included in the appointment fee and is approximately $2-5 per day. Some prescriptions are larger or contain more expensive herbs and the cost may be greater.

This booking is for individuals seeking acupuncture and/or herbal medicine treatment for the first time. This session will include a thorough Chinese medicine intake followed by an acupuncture treatment and possibly a herbal medicine recommendation(if recommended by the practitioner for your condition). If you do not want acupuncture and just want herbal medicine please book a herbal medicine consultation and diagnosis.
This treatment is for children from birth to age 11. It can be needle free and may include tui na massage, moxa, cupping, shonishin and chinese herbal remedies. With the child's consent we may perform acupuncture using specialized pediatric pins. If you are older than age 11 but have a fear of needling, please speak with your practitioner, we can provide similar treatments for adults or teenagers as well, but it would be booked under an initial or subsequent acupuncture treatment.
Moxibustion package: 3 treatments for $90. Warming herbs are ground to a powder and applied as a paste to points on the back associated with the lungs. Even 1-2 treatments can help support lung health. It's a traditional treatment for the prevention of allergic rhinitis, bronchitis, and asthma.
