Ethan (ByungKoan) Ro
Registered Acupuncturist & Manual Osteopathic Practitioner.
I graduated from a 6-year Doctor of Korean Medicine program — and then spent the next 18 years discovering everything that training could not fully prepare me for.
Chronic pain, persistent stress, poor sleep, fertility struggles, postural patterns, and skin recovery rarely fit neatly into one treatment approach.
The more I saw in clinic, the more I understood that real recovery requires seeing the whole picture — not just the symptom in front of me.

That is what drove me to keep studying: orthopedic assessment, structural Manual Osteopathy, rehabilitation, clinical facial care, and movement-based treatment.
Not to collect techniques, but to understand the deeper patterns underneath each patient’s condition.
Before I choose any treatment, I look at how your body moves, compensates, protects itself, and responds to stress.
Then we build care around that.
True recovery begins with understanding — not assumption.

For returning patients who have already completed an Initial Facial Esthetic Acupuncture visit at Core. This follow-up treatment continues care for facial puffiness, jaw / TMJ tension, facial tightness, and a tired-looking appearance. Your treatment may be adjusted based on your response, skin condition, jaw and neck tension, and overall facial pattern.
Facial Esthetic Acupuncture is best suited for facial puffiness, jaw / TMJ tension, facial tightness, and a tired-looking appearance. At Core, we may also assess the jaw, neck, scalp, and posture when they seem connected to your facial pattern. This is a gentle, gradual treatment. It is not designed as an instant lift or wrinkle-removal procedure. If your main concern is acne marks, visible pores, or deeper skin texture, we may discuss Microneedling / MTS as a separate option.
For returning patients who have already completed a Fertility Acupuncture Initial Visit at Core. This follow-up visit continues your care based on your cycle stage, fertility plan, stress, sleep, pelvic tension, and treatment response. Your treatment may be adjusted if your IVF / IUI schedule, medication, cycle, or symptoms have changed.
For patients preparing for pregnancy, trying to conceive, or receiving IVF / IUI support. Your first visit includes a review of your cycle history, fertility plan, stress, sleep, pelvic tension, and overall body pattern. Care is designed to support your body alongside your existing fertility or medical care.
✨ **MTS may be suitable for:** • Enlarged pores • Uneven skin texture • Shallow acne scars • Fine surface lines • Early elasticity changes • Selected tone and recovery concerns Microneedling / MTS is a skin-quality treatment focused on gradual skin renewal, not instant lifting or filling. This treatment uses controlled micro-stimulation to support the skin’s natural repair response. When appropriate, sterile hyaluronic acid may be applied during treatment to support hydration and barrier recovery. Before treatment, we assess your skin barrier, sensitivity, redness, acne activity, recent skincare use, and cosmetic treatment history to make sure your skin is ready. If your skin is reactive, inflamed, irritated, or not ready for stimulation, we recommend booking Facial Acupuncture first before starting MTS. For best results, many patients start with **3 sessions spaced about 4 weeks apart**. This allows time for recovery between treatments and helps us support skin texture, pores, fine lines, and collagen remodeling over approximately **90 days**. Results build gradually. If your skin is reactive, inflamed, or not ready for stimulation, we may recommend calming and barrier support first.
A follow-up microneedling session for patients who have already completed an initial MTS assessment or previous treatment. We review your skin response from the last session and adjust today’s treatment area, depth, intensity, and aftercare plan as needed. This treatment may support skin texture, pores, shallow acne scars, fine lines, dullness, selected post-acne marks, or scalp support. Treatment may be kept gentle, focused on specific areas, or postponed if the skin is not ready.
For returning patients after an initial assessment. We review your progress, check how your body responded to the previous treatment, and continue care based on your current symptoms and recovery goals. Your treatment will be adjusted based on what your body needs that day. If this is your first visit, please book the Initial Visit instead.
