In their own words
Hi, I’m Ev, and I’m so glad you’re here!
Considering therapy takes real courage, and I don’t take that lightly. I will meet you with warmth, patience, and consistent support. That said, I won't shy away
from gently challenging you from time to time.
I offer counselling for individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, suicidality, family conflict, and fundamental human questions. My approach is direct, genuine, and compassionate, and I welcome clients of all backgrounds, including LGBTQ2+ and neurodiverse folks.
Do you ponder where you belong? Or if you’re enough?
My role is not to convince you that your thoughts are false. I will work to help you understand that your thought processes are understandable adaptations to your lived experiences, but they no longer have to define your identity. I take a holistic approach that honours the mind-body connection and recognizes the strengths each person already carries and will work to ensure that you’re living your life in alignment with your values. I draw from Internal Family Systems, Satir, CBT, ACT and Narrative theories during our conversations.
I have been rooted in the East Kootenays for over a decade; I'm deeply committed to the wellbeing of this region and the individuals who make up these communities. My path into counselling was shaped by years of work in victim services, youth care, and fitness coaching, alongside deep volunteer involvement; experiences that showed me both the beauty and the struggles specific to life in the Kootenays, and I feel deeply that every individual adds value to our community.
My time in victim services taught me that I'm not afraid to sit with the hard things: grief, trauma, uncertainty, moments when life feels overwhelming or unfair. I've seen firsthand the resilience people carry, even in their most difficult chapters. My own path - living with instability as a young person and then immigrating to Canada in my twenties and navigating family change and ambiguous loss - has deepened my understanding of how transitions and unmet expectations can shake our sense of belonging and identity.
I bring curiosity, warmth, and sometimes a quirky laugh into the room. I will honour our therapeutic relationship to always guide the work we do together. If you’re looking for non-judgmental and calm support, I'd love to hear from you.
Pick a service, then a length and setting — times on the right follow your choice.
