Life can feel overwhelming at times. You may be feeling anxious, stuck, disconnected, or simply wondering why things seem harder than they used to. Maybe you’re navigating a major life transition, struggling in your relationships, questioning your direction, or carrying the weight of expectations that feel impossible to meet. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable, understood, and accepted—exactly as you are. Therapy is an opportunity to slow down, gain perspective, and work toward meaningful change in a way that feels authentic to you.
I work primarily with adults (18+) and have a special interest in supporting young adults who are navigating the many transitions that come with this stage of life. Whether you’re adjusting to university, beginning your career, managing changing relationships, exploring your identity, or struggling with anxiety or self-doubt, we’ll work together to help you better understand yourself and move forward with greater confidence. I also have a growing passion for supporting men’s mental health. Many men have spent years believing they need to handle life’s challenges on their own or keep difficult emotions to themselves. Over time, this can lead to stress, burnout, anxiety, relationship difficulties, anger, or feeling disconnected from yourself and the people you care about. Therapy offers a different experience—one where you can speak openly without judgment, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and develop practical strategies to move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
My path into psychology began through volunteering at a local counselling centre, where I saw firsthand how deeply mental health challenges can affect every aspect of a person’s life. I also witnessed something equally powerful—the resilience people discover when they have the right support. That experience inspired me to pursue this profession and continues to shape the way I approach therapy today.
#####I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. Sometimes we simply need a safe place to pause, make sense of what’s happening, and discover new ways of moving forward.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and client-centred. I don’t believe therapy is about someone telling you how to live your life—you are the expert on your own experiences.
#####My role is to walk alongside you, helping you better understand yourself, develop practical tools, challenge patterns that are no longer serving you, and build on the strengths you already possess.
Clients often describe me as calm, approachable, and easy to talk to. I understand that opening up can feel vulnerable, especially if therapy is new to you. My hope is that you’ll feel comfortable being yourself from the very first session. I strive to create an environment where you can speak openly without fear of judgment, knowing you’ll be met with compassion, respect, and genuine curiosity.
While I offer gentle support and encouragement, I’m also willing to challenge you when it serves your growth. Sometimes the greatest breakthroughs come from exploring long-standing patterns or perspectives that no longer serve you. I’ll help you navigate those moments in a way that feels supportive, respectful, and empowering.
I also believe that therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. Even during life’s most difficult seasons, there can still be room for humour. When it feels appropriate, I enjoy bringing lightness into our conversations because laughter can ease tension, strengthen connection, and remind us that healing doesn’t always have to be serious.
I have a particular passion for working with young adults as they navigate identity development, independence, life transitions, and the pressures of today’s world. Social media, academic demands, career uncertainty, changing relationships, family expectations, and questions about purpose can leave many people feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or unsure of themselves. Together, we’ll explore these challenges while developing healthier ways to manage difficult emotions, build confidence, strengthen self-compassion, and create a life that aligns with your values.
I also enjoy working with men who are looking to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, manage stress, or navigate major life changes. Whether you’re balancing work and family responsibilities, struggling with self-worth, processing difficult emotions, or simply feeling like you’ve been carrying everything on your own, therapy can provide a space to slow down, reflect, and build the skills needed to create lasting change. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out for support.
In my work, I value openness, curiosity, respect, and accountability. Every client brings their own unique experiences, culture, identity, and perspective, and I believe therapy should honour those differences. I approach each session with humility and genuine curiosity, recognizing that meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and accepted.
My therapeutic approach is evidence-based while remaining flexible to your individual needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Person-Centred Therapy, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, strength-based approaches, attachment theory, and trauma-informed care. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to fit your goals, personality, and circumstances.
I commonly support clients with:
- Anxiety and excessive worry
- Men's mental health
- Stress and burnout
- Depression and low mood
- Young adult concerns and identity exploration
- Life transitions and adjusting to change
- Self-esteem, self-worth, and self-criticism
- Relationship and communication challenges
- ADHD and executive functioning challenges
- Emotional regulation
- Perfectionism
- Academic and workplace stress
- Grief and loss
- Personal growth and values clarification
Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply feel like something isn’t quite right, you don’t have to navigate it alone. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel genuinely supported—a place where you can gain clarity, better understand yourself, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. I’d be honoured to walk alongside you as you take the next step toward the life you want to create.
