About Grace

Their own words
Hi, I'm Grace. I came to counselling through working alongside children and youth as a resource teacher supporting neurodivergent learners. In this work, I witnessed students and families feeling safe, heard, and understood. This planted a seed that eventually grew into a calling and brought me here, to the work of counselling. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, so I am new to this role in the most honest and hopeful sense. I bring with me the accumulated wisdom of over a decade spent learning how to meet people where they are and a genuine humility about how much there still is to learn. My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - examining the stories we tell ourselves and the thought patterns that quietly shape how we feel, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - aligning our inner experience towards our values, and Somatic Therapy - reminding us healing also happens through our bodies. Together these approaches allow us to work on multiple levels: what you're thinking, what you're feeling, and what your body is carrying. I believe lasting change comes from sitting with discomfort long enough to understand it, learning to trust yourself again, and taking courageous steps in the direction of who you want to be. I have a particular affinity for working with individuals navigating neurodivergence, life transitions, anxiety, and burnout. This space is one where you don't need the right words, or any words at first. We'll figure it out together.
