About Harriet

Their own words
If you're an individual navigating parenting, a move, boundary-setting or a "who even am I" season, or a couple stuck in the same argument (you know the one), Harriet works with people in exactly this territory. She works with adults, couples, and teens, bringing a background in child development, caregiving and community-based support work to walk alongside you during life’s toughest moments. She believes counselling should be as unique as the person sitting in front of her. Taking an integrative approach, Harriet draws from a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor sessions to each person's story, strengths, challenges, and goals. She is particularly drawn to Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). In the room, that looks like slowing things down, getting curious about what's actually going on underneath, holding space for the different parts of yourself (including the slightly chaotic ones doing their best) and making room for humour when it naturally shows up. Harriet does her best work with couples wanting to get unstuck or improve communication, and with individuals navigating relationship changes, parenting, life transitions or identity questions. She works well with people willing to slow down, get curious and bring some compassion to the parts of themselves they usually try to power through. Harriet describes her approach as real and human. Sessions are grounded in honesty and aim to give you skills you can actually use in everyday life. She believes people are inherently resilient and that things shift when clients meet themselves with more curiosity and kindness. Master’s-level intern counsellor working under clinical supervision (moving to pre-registered around August 2026). Background in child development, caregiving and community-based support work. Trained in the Gottman Method Level 1. Draws on Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Sessions in English.
