AjouterHeather completed a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 2007, and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counselling in 2018. In addition to her work in private practice, Heather has also worked as a Youth & Family Counsellor and Primary Care Counsellor with community based agencies. She has experience working with a broad range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, and trauma, and has successfully supported youth, adults and seniors in their journey toward living a more gratifying and fulfilling life.

Heather's approach to counselling is rooted in the belief that each person’s path to healing is unique. She offers a comfortable and supportive space for client's to discover their strengths and move towards personal growth mentally, physically and emotionally. Heather has training and experience in a number of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including: EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Somatic & Mindfulness Based Therapy.

Client consultations are done over the phone unless otherwise noted and offered at no charge. During this 15 minute phone call you will have an opportunity to discuss the type of support you are looking for and learn more about my counselling experience and approach.
