I offer holistic counselling for children (9+), parents, adults and families. I believe well-being is a blend of mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health, and I integrate these aspects to guide people through challenges and toward lasting healing.
My counselling focuses on the mind-body connection, recognizing how emotions shape both health and relationships. I support clients in calming their nervous systems, deepening self-awareness, and reconnecting with their inner world. My approach helps build resilience, transform limiting beliefs, encourage authentic self-expression, and foster healthier relationships.
The following are key areas I work with:
Trauma: I use the gentle yet powerful approach of hypnotherapy to help clients heal trauma, shift limiting beliefs, and release old patterns. Through meditation and somatic practices, I support the nervous system in finding calm and balance. My goal is to walk alongside you with compassion, helping you build resilience and reconnect with your inner strength.
Children (9+) & Youth: When I work with children and youth, I help them understand the difference between “cheap” dopamine, like endless scrolling or junk food, and “well-earned” dopamine that comes from effort and accomplishment. I encourage them to discover activities that spark pride and joy — whether it’s sports, art, writing, cooking, or learning something new. By building habits that foster well-earned dopamine, I support youth in strengthening focus, motivation, and emotional well-being.
Neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism): Living in a neurotypical world can be especially challenging for those who experience life differently. Anxiety and depression often show up in unique ways, particularly through the daily “masking” many feel pressured to do in order to fit in. I support youth in safely setting those masks aside while building skills in communication, self-regulation, and authentic self-expression, creating a space where they can feel truly seen and accepted. For parents, this means knowing your child has a safe space to be themselves while learning tools that support confidence, resilience, and healthier connections at home and school.
Couples: In couples therapy, I draw on PREP Couples training to help partners strengthen their connection and spot challenges before they grow. We practice healthy communication, learn to manage expectations, and explore differences in personalities, beliefs, values, and behaviours with curiosity rather than conflict. By building emotional attunement and understanding, couples can create a relationship where both feel deeply connected, respected, and valued.
Family Therapy: In family therapy, I work with parents, children, siblings, and couples to explore patterns with curiosity rather than conflict. Together we strengthen communication, resolve challenges, and build deeper connections so families can support one another with more balance and care.
Loneliness & Isolation: I understand how painful loneliness and isolation can feel, especially later in life. In our work together, I create a safe and trusting space to share your experiences, reflect on meaning, and gently ease the weight of disconnection. My goal is to help you feel more supported, understood, and connected. You don’t have to carry the heaviness of loneliness alone — I will walk alongside you with care and compassion.
Sleep Difficulties: Sleep is one of the “big three” foundations of health, along with diet and exercise, yet many people struggle to get enough rest. Poor sleep can affect memory, learning, mood, and the ability to cope with daily demands. I use hypnosis to calm the mind and body, helping clients release tension and shift unhelpful thought patterns that interfere with rest, so they can wake up feeling more restored and balanced.
"Even though we don't always understand where our thoughts and belief systems come from, it's possible to safely and gently process and heal past wounds, enabling us to overcome limiting beliefs, change unwanted behaviours and unlock our full potential."
Approaches: Somatic Approaches, Hypnotherapy, PREP Couples Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Movement Therapy, Mindfulness Based Practices, and Inner Child Work.
Areas of Support: Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, Trauma, Relationship Challenges, Sleep Disorders, Mind-Body Connection, Habit and Behaviour Evolution, Emotional Regulation, and Neuro-Divergence.
Populations: Children (9+), Youth, Adults, Parents, Families, Elders, LGBTQ2S, and BIPOC.
Cultural Perspective: My multicultural background offers me a unique lens in how I view the world and connect with clients. Growing up in a Turkish-American home gave me an early appreciation for diverse perspectives. After living and working in Korea for 13 years before immigrating to Canada, I deeply understand both the joys and challenges of navigating new cultural landscapes.
Education & Experience: I hold a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, a Master’s in Global Leadership & Sustainable Development, and a Master’s in Clinical Counselling from City University of Seattle. I have been a certified yoga instructor since 2008 and an Ayurveda teacher since 2018. For the past four years, I’ve supported neurodiverse students and their families in the Victoria and Sooke school districts. My Master’s thesis explored how somatic practices can support the healing process of adults with complex trauma.
Beyond the Work: I enjoy outdoor adventures in nature with my family as a way to reset and bond. I share my yoga and meditation practice with the Westshore YMCA community, reflecting my value of community care. I also love visiting friends and family in different countries, growing healing herbs in my garden, reading about counselling and healing philosophies, and spending quiet time with my cat, Cairo.
